The skin around the vulva and anus is inflamed, sore and itchy, which seems worse at night. Originally there seemed to be a thin discharge, but it didn't smell very strongly. There is a little bright red blood around the anus when passing stool and part of the anus has a protusion which I'm thinking could be piles.

Recently, I've noticed quite a strong smell, almost like decomposing when I do to the toilet.

I have sores around the skin adjacent to the anus, which admitadly don't get much air, because the bottom cheeks sit closely together.

My stools are quite soft and have become paler in colour and are now a mid brown/tan kind of colour, but I seem to be having trouble finishing a poo off.

I drink a fair amount of fluid, about 3/4 pints of clear fluid a day and have museli for breakfast.

I have the same problem. I think it is candida thrush (a fungus). My doctor isn't doing much about it, he waves it off. He says I'm just keeping myself too clean! It is not "nothing" I think it is serious , and it interferes with my life. But I do get relief from Baking soda baths and douches, and enemas, and eathing a healthy diet - no sugar for example. Try these things and keep in touch. Its good to know theres someone else.
