My breasts have been very tender the last week. There is no possibility of pregnancy as I had a tubal about 4 years ago. I am kind of scared about what it might be. I had a mammogram about 3 weeks ago and everything is fine on that end. And I am not due for my cycle yet either. If anyone has any ideas on what it could be.

Might be:
HI,

I have had tender breasts often for since my mid twenties, and was told that i have
fibrocystic breast disease.
If you havent been diagonosed with this, you might ask the next time you go to the dr.
here is what its all about:
Fibrocystic breasts are characterized by lumpiness and usually discomfort in one or both breasts. The condition is very common and benign, meaning that fibrocystic breasts are not malignant (cancerous). Fibrocystic breast disease (FBD), now referred to as fibrocystic changes or fibrocystic breast condition, is the most common cause of "lumpy breasts" in women and affects more than 60% of women. The condition primarily affects women between the ages of 30 and 50 and tends to become less of a problem after menopause.

The diagnosis of fibrocystic breasts is complicated by the fact that the condition can vary widely in its severity. In some women, the symptoms of fibrocystic breast condition can be very mild with minimal breast tenderness or pain. The symptoms can also be limited in time, usually occurring only premenstrually. It may not even be possible to feel any lumps when the breasts are examined by the woman herself or by her doctor. In other women with fibrocystic breasts, the pain and tenderness are constant, and many lumpy or nodular areas can be felt throughout both breasts.

You may or may not feel the lumps, unless you are very aware of your breasts.
Mine get more tender when I am ovulating, or if I drink an abundance of caffeine. This is a genetic disease, my grandmother and aunt both have this as well. We have found that taking 2 vitamin e's daily helps astonishingly well with the pain and discomfort. You might try that, Trader Joes has a great 400 iu Vitamin E softgel that is biologically active. these are the best ones ive tried, and they are about 6.oo for 100, I would take one or two a day, and honestly if you dont see a difference in a week or so, i would talk to your dr. You ought to anyway, but start with the Vitamin E, and cut back on those starbucks if you are inclined to the caffeine, its very bad for the ladies!
Dont worry too much, I know how easy it is to keep yourself up nights thinking you are dying, but take a deep breath and think positive. I also think it is important to feel like your gyno is really listening to you.. if not they might miss something important..
Sorry for the epic answer, but I hope you find something helpful here!
