I can get a little sore before I ovulate too.
It's pretty common due to the rise in hormones before you ovulation.

hi im new to the site but can tell you i got very sore breasts before my period. It was so bad i had to refrain from wearing a bra,
my gp informed me it was due to enlarged mammory glands and put me on a course of evening primrose oil and it worked for me.
