I have had pain in my left arm for a couple of months. I sleep on this shoulder quite a bit and chalked it up to a pinched nerve or something. It started with a burning sensation in my tricep, then moved to include the elbow. About four days ago I stated taking 600mg of ibuprofin and applying biofreeze to the area three times a day. I noticed the pain diminished pretty quickly (it was never that severe). But I am getting some swelling under my arm and in my pectorial muscle. I thought the swelling might be from the biofreeze irritating my armpit. So I have avoided applying it there for the last two days, but am still using it on my elbow and tricep. I am surprised to see swelling since I am taking so much ibuprofin. Should I be concerned about this?
