Q: Son not urinating

My almost 3 year old son has not wet his diaper for over 48 hours. I took him to the Dr today and they did a cathador (sp?) and said that he was producing urine and that it didn't look like he had U.T.I. They said that if he doesn't wet by morning that we needed to get him in for blood work. I'm very worried about him. He's not eating much, but is drinking normal (milk, water, cranberry & grape juice). How long is too long to not urinate before his health could be at risk? Do you think I'm OK to wait until morning?
