I have been sexually active with my boyfriend for two years now. About once every month or so while my boyfriend and I have sex he goes soft and cannot orgasm. I am not sure if I should be worried or not, if usually happens like clockwork once every month or two. He says it feels good but then he gets tired and cannot cum. I am confused why it only happens sometimes and over a long period of time... Is this a normal thing?? Please help me, he is my first partner and I dont know what I should do when it happens. I usually tell him its cool, and then we kiss and fall asleep... But I worry, he thinks he has a sexual problem... I would love to hear some advice Smile

elle5,
I'd like to help if I can, but need to ask a few questions. Did you say that it happens, pretty much like clockwork every month or so? In these situations does he ever get a rock hard erection or is it typically firm but still bendable? When this situation occurs, what is happening in his life? For instance, is it the time in the month for major bills to be paid or some other external stress which could be occupying his mind.

Hmmm, when it happens I dont think it is at a stressful time, but he does say he gets tired when it happens. Umm, his errection starts out really hard then awhile into the sex it starts to go weaker and then he usually gives up or it goes soft. I usually can tell when it is going to heppen becasue he lasts a really long time without having a orgasm. Thanks I really appreciate the help:)

elle5,
If he is starting off with a rock hard erection and then going soft after a long time, I would tend to think that either he is under some sort of stress or very tired or both of these. Usually guys, when they have a solid hardon, continue until they cum, unless something is inhibiting the activity.

Good point diamondsz,

elle5,
Could this be a situation where he has ingested some alcohol or taken drugs (even if only to help with a cold or other medical condition)??

Thanks guys. And no he does not do any drugs or smoke. And yeah his errection usually starts out hard, it feels no different from any other time we have sex. It is just strange how it happens every month or so... Becasue every other time we have sex, everything is great
