Q: soft mass at base of neck

This morning I noticed a squishy mass at the base of my neck(takes 2-3 fingers in width & length to cover it), to the left side. It is very soft, no hard lumps, and it is more to the side and bottom as opposed to the front. I do have thyroid issues, and a thryoid nodule, but it is definitely not like this, nor is it located at the area of my thyroid. Anyone experience anything similar?

Hi. Did you ever find the answer to your question? I too have that. I just noticed this morning and gotta find out what it is coz I can't deal w/the stress of this while I am already stressed out over Michael's death. Please post any helpful info.
