Today I was drinking soda and I had a little left. I had 3 sips and on the last one I drank it too fast and I felt the soda go up to my sinuses. I read somewhere that you can dry drown from this. I feel like I have mucus on the back of my throat. Is this bad? Could this be dangerous?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Its transient irritation from soda, the symptoms will subside in a day or two with no long term damages so no worries.Be careful in consuming soda in future.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
