Q: Snoring can't sleep

I'm thinking about recording my husband while he sleeps so that he knows what it's like to try to sleep with someone who snores. What are some of the best natural treatments to help someone stop snoring?

Hello..
You may encourage him to sleep on his side. Another option to go along with side sleeping is to elevate the head of your bed...like put 1 brick under each leg of the foot of the bed. Sometimes these simple positioning tricks can help. Have you noticed if he ever stops breathing while sleeping (often this goes hand in hand with the snoring)?? He may have sleep apnea, in which case he would need a sleep study done in a clinic. Sleep apnea is a serious diagnosis because oxygen levels fall very low-this makes your heart work hard and often people have low energy levels during the day. Just a thought. You may need to get some ear plugs in the mean time-seriously...because this is affecting your sleep as well.

Best of luck~G

Thanks, G!

My father has been diagnosed with sleep apnea and uses a breathing machine at night. I don't think that my husband is experiencing sleep apnea, however, because his breathing doesn't stop...but I will try to ask him to sleep on his side. The snoring usually happens when he sleeps on his stomach. I do wear earplugs (since I was 1Cool, but think that I have an incredible sensitivity to noise. Nonetheless, thanks for your suggestions! They are great. Smile
