Q: snoring and sleeping problems

Over the last 6 months to a year I have suffered from colds and coughs, which I have seen a doctor about but antibiotics have done nothing really. Consequently I constantly have a blocked nose and have difficulty breathing at night. This has caused me to snore terribly, obviously I don't notice it but my partner says its terrible. I have tried snoring strips and nasal spray, and they work ok, but recently in the morning I have a lot of trapped wind (burping, not flatulence), and am wonering what is causing this? It normally lasts until around midday, I just keep burping and feel like there is a lot of trapped air. I would be grateful if anybody could explain this?

You need to see a ENT to see what is going on..It very well could be blocked sinus that needs cleaning out..As for the burping-try using an antiacid and watch foods that have this quality to them for you..

If-the ENT can't help you may want to have a sleep study done to see what that shows..Best of luck to you..
