I am wanting to know if anyone of you suffer from this painful and gross condition at times. I am overweight and sometimes have problems removing all of the moisture in my pelvic and groin region. In some areas of my pelvic region, it starts to burn, become irritated, and smell really bad. If I am not careful, sometimes it may bleed in an area that is really burning. I have tried zinc oxide, gold bond medicated body powder in the green container to absorb the moisture. This powder also makes it feel better by cooling it off. I have also noticed in my inner thighs, a small section of skin that just sags (looks very wrinkly) and it burns also.

This happens every so often and I am getting frustrated with the situation. Do I need medical help or can I remedy this at home with over the counter meds?

You can handle this several ways. After drying off you can place the towel in the areas that generally remain wet. Then sit down and do your hair, makeup, whatever for at least ten minutes to allow all the liquid to soak into the towel. You can also use a blow dryer to make sure you are completely dry. Then use baby powder, Gold Bond powder... in those areas. I have also heard that using an aerosol deodorant in those areas helps. It forms a waterproof barrier and it also prevents sweating, which can cause skin irritation. (Only try this method after testing the deodorant on your underarms. You do not want to have a bad skin reaction to an area that is already irritated.)
