Q: small scab on penis

I found a small, red scab like thing on the bottom right side of my penis yesterday. I noticed it while using the washroom, it kinda stung a bit when i touched it. Today it has hardened, turned more scab like, but has cracked slightly width wise. It's about 4mm in length, and about 1mm in width. It's on foreskin close to the tip when nonerect, and about 3/4 the way up the shaft erect. I had unprotected sex about 4 and a half weeks ago with a girl im kinda close to. She has not mentioned having any infections and so on, but then again I'm aware some people show no symptoms of certain viruses etc. She's only had a couple of other partners other then myself, were both still teens. I was wondering if this sounds like genital herpes or something else? I have to wait til monday to make a doc. appt. I'm really nervous, and don't want to wait to find out if there is anything wrong. Thanks

also, I've shown no other symptoms that I have read about online. No fever, flu like symptoms etc. It is not raised off the skin, maybe just sliiiightly because of the tiny red scab. I hope I'm just overreacting. It's just I've never had something like this show up on my arms or legs chest etc. and now one shows up on my penis a month after unpretected sex

Extremely eHealthy
Herpes is Blisters, it starts out as blisters, MANY of them, then they scab over in a yellow crust.

Yours does not sound like herpes.

well it just tingled and kinda stung a bit without touching the sore. And from what I read, this very well could be herpes, or some other std. I'm positive it is now, there's no other way to explain this. May as well get some mental meds while im at the doc cause im officially depressed too now. 17 and already have an incurable sti. great.
