Hi, i have what seems to be a very mild case of penile papules in my opinion, they are small bumps around the corona rim of my penis mainly flesh coloured some a little reder but not too much and not a bright red, they do not hurt itch or anoy me in any way other then their apearance. They tend to be more noticable when erect.
Do you think it could be something else? because i've seen pictures of what pearly penile papules are and its no where near as bad i was hoping it was something less sever and easier treated by antibiotics or some other form, your opinion and advice would be greatly apreciated.
Thank you.

Awww dude. Don't worry. I'm pretty sure I know what these lumps are from your description, I think you are right they are most likely 'pearly penile papules' also called 'Hirsuties papillaris genitalis'. They are totally normal and actually quite common. If you want more information check out the article about them on wikipedia. They are just a genetic variation. I had them too by the way. They vary a lot in shape and size but are nearly always around the underneath of the head (glans) of the penis, around that rim underneath the head called the corona. Look at lots of pics of them to compare as they vary a lot. They are made up of the same type of tissue as the head and need no treatment. They aren't a disease, they're not contagious, they are totally normal and actually very common. However they can be removed using CO2 laser surgery if you feel the need. It annoys me how many doctors are not more aware of all this. It caused me so much worry before I knew what they were. I'm just glad I might be able to help you because I know how it feels. Think you can message me on here- not sure but if u can and you want to feel free. Hope this helped Smile
