Q: Small painless bump on lip of anus

Basically, I have a small bump on the lower (nearest vagina) lip of my anus. I noticed it about a month ago. It is pale in colour, approx. 4mm in length and 2mm wide, 2mm high. It is painless, although sensitive to touch, and often bleeds when wiping after passing stools (I always thought I was just too rough). Stools are sometimes (but not always) watery. I have in the past shaved the area around my anus, could it be related to hair follicles?
I generally eat healthily, and pass stools regularly.

My thoughts are a swollen gland, perhaps?

I've trailed the internet but have so far found nothing helpful which relates fully to my situation.

Any help would be much appreciated Smile

hello and welcome it could be as you say a hair folicle that grown inwards i have heard of this happen.
The only other thing that comes to mind is a small hemarroid but these are usually caused by constipation and your stools are loose.
I would advise keep a check on it and if it grows any bigger get it checked out for your own piece of mind. i shall do bit of research for you also and if i can find something shall get back too you.
Please ignore the above repliers comment as here on e,health forum we take your problems seriously and advise the best we can.
hope this has helped you in some way.

Thank you Smile

I should probably have made it clear that I'm a girl, heterosexual, despite the username! =/ It's the name of a song by a band called Placebo.

Anyway, the bump thing, on much closer inspection, looks and feels no morethn a flap of baggy skin, althugh I'm not sure what could have caused it?
