I was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk. After dealing with knee pain for 4 months the ortho surgeon recommended arthroscopic surgery as I had all of the symptoms of a medial meniscal tear. My meniscus was fine but the surgeon cleaned up a 4-5 mm medial femoral condyle lesion. The surgery was 4.5 weeks ago and I am still feeling clicking, some mild swelling and intermittment pain. What is the prognosis? The surgeon said "you'll be fine". As an avid runner I am worried about the future.

medial femoral condyle subchondral cystic lesion & distal fe
intraosseous lesion.

It's been over a year since your post. How are things now? I've always been active and had a bicycle wreck almost 4 months ago. It took a while to get an MRI. At first it seemed to be getting better, but I haven't been able to handle stairs or going up a slope. Since the accident my knee has felt very wobbly mainly to the rear and inside (medial). I just got a cortisone shot and the ortho said if that doesn't work it'll need to be scoped.
