i have a lump, not on the surface of the skin but on the inside that when i touch it, it hurts a little. what could this be? i went to the doctor and he said its an irritation possibly from shaving. which i dont think that sounds right because its not on the surface of the skin. i think ill get a second opinion but what do you think it could be? its a small lump thats sore right above my pelvic bone off to the right???
There could be two possibilities for this lump
1)Boil or abscess: It generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hardApply warm compresses and keep the area clean.Topical antibiotic cream as Neosporin can be helpful in such case.
2)Second possibility is infected cyst.
It requires a clinical examination to rule out the exact cause.Kindly visit a Physician for evaluation.Till then follow general hyeigenic measures.
