Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

There could be two possibilities for this lump
1)Boil or abscess: It generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hardApply warm compresses and keep the area clean.Topical antibiotic cream as Neosporin can be helpful in such case.
2)Second possibility is infected cyst.
It requires a clinical examination to rule out the exact cause.Kindly visit a Physician for evaluation.Till then follow general hyeigenic measures.
Take care!
