I have a small lump under my jaw on the left side of my face. It is located where the jaw and the mouth connects (corner of the face). I have also had a red violent rash across the left side of my face located near the lump. I have also been experiencing some dryness and scabbing in the left nostril of my nose. Just wondering if they're connected or if its something I should be concerned about?
Unfortunately, it is impossible to offer patients a specific diagnosis over the internet, as I cannot examine them. Skin problems are especially difficult to assess simply based upon a patient's description of their skin lesions. While it's possible that you have a lymph node that has enlarged in response to the rash on your skin (as well as a skin infection in your nostril), you would really be best served by seeing your doctor, and if appropriate, obtaining a referral to see a Dermatologist.
