small growth on nipple, looks like a light colored mole

I have small growth on my nipple just next to the tip where the milk would come out if I had given birth. It started out teeny about two years ago and has grown ever so slightly and does not seem to be growing anymore. There is no head and it is not sensitive and does not hurt. It almost looks like a light colored mole, lighter than the nipple but about the color of the skin. I am almost positive it is not a wart, I used to get random warts on my hands when I was younger. I would like to know if it is a danger and if now how to get rid of it safely. Thanks

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to comment on the exact cause for the ‘growth on nipple’ that you describe without examining you. The exact cause can only be made out after careful evaluation. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination and further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. Treatment measures as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be suggested to help you. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
