I have very irregular menstruation, sometimes it takes 3months or more before it comes.Last month the flow lasted for only two days instead of the usual five days. This month, after about a week of rumbling stomach, my period started and has been on for ten days now without any sign of stopping.I still feel slight rumblings and uneasiness of my stomach. what could be responsible for this.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
It is difficult to comment on the symptoms of irregular periods and abdominal sensations that you describe without examining you. Possible causes include hormonal derangements, ovarian problems like PCOD, endometriosis, anemia etc. The exact underlying cause for your symptoms, abnormal bleeding, and irregularity of periods, can only be made out after careful evaluation. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination and further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. Treatment as needed (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you control the bleeding and regulate your periods. Consider being in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
