So lets start things off with a story. I'm a 25 year old male. About 3 and a half months ago i had unprotected sex. After a few weeks i noticed some irritation in the form of itching near the underside/base of my shaft, near the scrotum. Then started noticing that the head of my penis in different locations, sometimes on one side or the other, would feel tingly/more sensitive. Nothing would really show up. Usually would only last a day for the particular spot and would come and go many times during the week. This lasted for i would say a month and a half. I got tested for all the typical STDs and they came back negative, i was relieved but more confused.

Around a month and a half after the unprotected sex, i noticed that the head of my penis, right on the top fairly centered was slightly red. As well as the underside of my shaft that had been bothering me on and off with the itching. The redness was very faint but noticeable to me. I kept an eye on it and it stayed the same for a few weeks. I didn't think it would be noticeable to someone unless i pointed it out to give you an idea of how faint it was, but its my penis and after the sex i have been paying a lot more attention to things. Its wearing me out! The skin on the head, in the rash area seemed to be getting rougher over a period of weeks. When i had an erection you could tell that the skin wasn't smooth like it used to be and seemed bumpy with irritation. The skin seemed to be thickening up a little bit and i wouldn't call them cracks, but seems like paper cuts that weren't very deep. In mostly a vertical fashion that developed on the top of the head of my penis. I guess because the skin isn't as soft as it used to be and the expanding/shrinking causes the skin to develop these lines? This is my guess at least. Also started to notice very very tiny white dots on the head, mostly located in the region of the rash. You needed to get very close to seem them and pull the skin tight (since it was a bit rougher than before all of this).

So to continue the story, i started freaking out about it more and saw a urologist. I dont really trust this guy, i had never seen him before and he didn't take very much time with me. But in any case he took a look and at first glance he just thought that it was PPP pearly penile papuals. Looking closer he thought it could be HPV and the start of genital warts. He prescribed to me condylox gel and sent me on my way. I applied the gel for one day, twice(incorrectly). He didnt explain how to use it and, when reading the directions it says to only apply to the wart itself. Well these white dots were so small and scattered on the rash area, i just kinda smeared it around the whole area that seemed infected because i wanted to make sure i didnt miss any. Terrible idea. Your supposed to use this gel twice a day for 3 days, then take 4 days off. Repeat for 4 weeks. I made it 1 day and couldn't bare to put any more on. The little white dots seem to be gone and the rash and infected skin is smoother than it was before but still not back to normal. Seems to of helped a bit but i dont know if this is due to the fact that this gel basically murdered my skin and had to heal itself, i lost about 2 layers of skin on the head of my penis, it was very red and insanely sensitive and took a week and a half to heal back up mostly. There was no bleeding, but i did get some of the more serious side effects of the gel, including slight swelling of my upper lip and tongue/tingling. It seems like it irritated my forsyte bumps in my upper lip as well, my lip isn't as smooth as it was before and the forsytes seem to be a little more noticeable/rough. Maybe just coincidence.

This is pretty much where i stand right now, the rash on the head is still there. It looks sort of blotchy at times, i notice little dots that are light shades of pink that come and go in the rash area. There seems to be slight bumps scattered on the head that you have to look pretty close to notice (or if you have some harsh lighting you can tell there are slight raised bumps) , more noticeable with an erection. As well as few very tiny red pin point dots on the underside of my head. As well as the one area on the underside of my shaft still itches and is slightly red, like a rash but not developing the same symptoms as the head of my penis. I know this is long but im just trying to be as clear as possible. Sorry! If you got this far, thanks so much for at least reading and trying to help. I have an appointment to see my normal doctor again in a few weeks, but were just waiting right now to see if anything develops. Any ideas in the mean time? I just want this to go away or find out so i can deal with it. Its wearing me out thinking about it all the time.
