i have had sleep paralysis since i was about 14 i'm now 18, but after more thought on it all i rrememberhaving rreaccuringnightmates that i couldent move or was unable to get out of my room. weather this was sleep paralysis i'm unsure but i know for definate i have had it since i was 14, i was wondering if what my other doctors have been saying was ture, which was that i was born with it and it may go later on in life. I personally think it was braught on by stress as when i was about that age i was a very stressed person and i dont think that its a coincendence. I would also like to know weather there are any known ways of preventing it or getting rid of it all togther apart from using drugs as they have terrible side effects. I have tried many thing such as

quitting smoking, drinking and cafine
not watching tv, playing playstation or using a computer
not doing press ups and sit ups within an hour of going to bed
and reading before going bed.

if there are any other things that i can change in my day to day life to stop it happening i would to know, or even if some kind of therapy is needed at all.

cheers
