I'm looking for any articles that talk about sleep deprivation causing stunted development. I only average 5 hours of sleep through high school and want to know if this played a part.

Most boys begin growing in height and weight around age 14 and reach their full adult size between the ages of 16 and 19.
The highest levels of growth hormone are released into the bloodstream during deep sleep. Because sleep deprivation results in a decrease in the release of growth hormone, height and growth may be affected by a lack of sleep.

I'm 5'11, but my genetic peak height is 6'0-6'1. Do you know of any studies online that test this?
