Q: Skin tunnels

I have what appears to be skin tunnels that periodically fill up with residue that I can squeeze out from either opening. They are superficial and only a few millimeters long. They cause no pain and I have one that is about 16 years old. I have discovered a few more. I am interested in knowing what they are and what causes them.
