Q: Skin smells like urine

I have had dogs for three years. they are inside dogs. When I go out, my friends are saying that I smell like urine. I have been wipeing the dogs down with baby wipes and baking soda for about two months now.

I clean the house every other day. We took the capet up over a year ago. By the way, the dogs rarely have accidents in the house. Is there anything that I can buy over the counter?

If I was not too embrass, I would ask my doctor. I am bathing twice a day. I have tried everything. It's affecting my job and my soical life. I need help fast.

It may be your clothes that smell and not your skin...

Do you ever 'air' your house by opening windows?

The people that have brought this to you attention...ask him/her what they would suggest or if he/she would help you or ask your vet for advice.

how often do you bathe them?
maybe you should see their vet and ask if there is something you can do or if there is something they can suggest for the dogs if the smell of the dogs are rubbing off on others.

Skin smell like urine.
I have started to open the windows everyday for the last two weeks. For the past two months, I was giving the dogs a bath every night. I stop doing that because it seem to dry out their coat.

Maybe I should go back to washing them once a week.

I give our Jack Russell a bath 2 - 3 times a week with Aussie Moist Shampoo and her skin does not dry out...plus she loves playing in the water...

For you once a week may work out better...

Have you tried Waterless Bath? It's a spray and does ok in a pinch...
