You know how you exercise in the cold (in my case I was jogging) and come inside and your skin is itchy while it "thaws"? Well that happened, which I read was normal. But I itched it A LOT, especially above my knees.

Then my skin was all hard, I guess from all the blood that rushed to the surface (made even worse by my itching it) and when I walked, that hard skin wouldn't move so it hurt to walk.

Now that's almost gone away, except a little still on my left knee--e.g. its still "hard", then this bruise formed by my kneecap. Could that be a broken blood vessel or something? I'm kind of worried. Just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience before I go to the doc.

Hard skin is a condition that could be caused by a number of conditions including psoriasis, frostbite, or scleroderma. I seriously suggest that you see a dermatologist for a diagnosis and possible tests. You'll be grateful when you get a straight answer of the cause and treatment options for the symptoms.
