I am a 35 yr old white male. Recently I have noticed skin discoloration on my body. Mostly on my upper body, but not on my arms which see alot of sun. It is usually a light brown color, but when I work out or get out of a hot shower, it is much darker.
What does it mean?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out. it can be due to tinea versicolor. Tinea versicolor is caused by a fungus that lives in the skin of almost all adults. Factors that can cause the fungus to become more visible include high humidity and immune or hormone abnormalities.Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines. I’ll suggest you to consult a dermatologist and seek an opinion as it is very difficult to diagnose online without examination. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
