Skiing with hernia ?

My Husband thinks he might have inguinal hernia. There is a definite lump and swelling in his pelvic area, and says he sometimes feels burning in the inguinal area. He also gets nausea, and diarrhea has made it worse. We are supposed to go skiing this weekend, and he wants to take the risk and go. Will it hurt his hernia more if he skis? or will it do nothing at all?
