Women are especially prone to UTIs for
reasons that are not yet well understood
(woman's urethra is short, allowing
bacteria quick access to the bladder,
also, a woman's urethral opening is near
sources of bacteria from the anus and
vagina).
About 75 percent of the time, urinary
tract infections in women are triggered by
sexual intercourse. Moreover, intercourse
promotes UTIs because the back-and-forth
motion literally massages bacteria from
your anus into the bladder.
Women with vaginal tissue that is drier,
scarred, or more easily irritated or
irritated because of lot of sex in a short
period and additional trauma to the
tissues (size of the penis) are more prone
to get the UTI after the intercourse.
What kind of prevention you are using
during sexual intercourse?
Has she been tested for the cause (tests
to detect certain infect) of her UTI's?
