I also have had sinusitis for over four years now. I have had sinus surgery by my ENT which was terrible to have to experience. Regrettably the symptoms recurred within one week. I have been to an allergy specialist who did all the immune tests, all of which came back within normal ranges. I also have had tubes put in both ears two times now (not fun). I have tried getting allergy shots (waste of time and money for me), been on at least 10 different antibiotics, cortisone and nasal medications. Also I have tried antifungul inhaller medications which was made into a steam and inhaled (very expensive and did not work) as well as other medications, none of which worked. I am sure my insurance company has paid out over 20K. My sense of smell and taste disappear unless I am on antibiotics. The only thing that works is Augmentin XR or the generic ic amoxicillin-clav er 1,000-62.5 one tablet a day for 3 years now. My doctors agree that if it is the only thing that helps, the benefits out weight any negatives that the anti-biotics bring. I so want to be off antibiotics but the sinusitus is just intolerable. Sinus irrigation make life almost normal (for me anyway)unless i stop the anti-biotics. I ordered a sinus irrigation pic through amazon and it works with my water pic. Initially I had purchased the Grosslin nasal irrigation system for 100 bucks. It worked very well but burnt out after a year. Something else that oddly enough seems to help was adding a very small amount of johnsons baby shampoo to the irrigation mix of salt and baking soda. Just google sinus irrigation with johnsons baby shampoo, it really helps. Also I have tried drinking small amounts ofapple cider vinegar and honey diluted with water, and that seems to help with making breathing easier. It is so very frustrating that there is no cure for this, at times debilitating, miserable infection. I hope that one of these works for you or your readers. If you or anyone reading this finds anything that works for you, please feel free to e-mail me and tell me.

They are worth a try indeed, but steaming and vitamin C is still one of the best yet
