Hi everyone.

I have had nose problems for some time and there have been a few occasions when I have been in agony with my sinuses. But never like this.

I started to become uncomfortable (sneezing, blocked nose, little bit of pressure) about three weeks ago. I was prescribed amoxicillan 250mg three times a day. Since I finished the course on Monday (it is now Friday) I have been in utter agony. Stabbing pains in cheekbones and down side of face, constant and very complete blockage of nostrils. The right side is worse.
I have been to the dentist to rule out dental problems. The X ray showed that the sinuses have fluid.
I am also 10 weeks pregnant so can only take paracetamol and have got antibiotics from GP and beconase nasal spray which I have used for almost two weeks with no effect.
I really am at my wits end, i have just laid on the bathroom floor screaming in agony for the past half an hour. I was prescribed 500mg x 3 amoxicillin yesterday for another week but not yet feeling the effects.
I desperately need some relief from this pain as it feels like it is ruining my life at the moment. I am absolutely exhausted and cannot sleep for the congestion and pain.
I am fed up of GPs an pharmacists smiling sympathetically at me and telling me to inhale steam. I have tried it religiously and it does nothing, will not even go up my nostril as it is so blocked.
Please help, I can't carry on like this Sad
