My husband (age 49) had a seizure 17 weeks ago. Diagnosed as Tonic\Clonic, Sleep Onset. MRI and Bloods clear. He suffered approx. 10 "Grand Mal" seizures at the age of 3 (in v. quick succesion, over a couple of days) and took Phenobarbitone for a couple of years. Are these seizures related? Could this latest seizure be single occurrence? Is it case that the longer he goes without another event, the less likely it is to happen again?

Any advise appreciated.
