I'm 26 years old and haven't had a girlfriend since 16. I guess shouldn't count the minor interactions since, maybe one time when I almost get laid with some groupies my old band did a show. He He! For while, my single life was by choice but now I hate it. I feel so incomplete. Even though I do live my life, I feel that I cannot carry on until I have an intimate relationship. Another thing. Why won't women approach men and ask them out? (It has happened! My ex made the first moves!) Or do I have to work my ass off somehow to build up my confidence in initiating? There are some beautiful women whom I have set my eyes upon in the past and even now. Some of the nicest ones turned out to have boyfriends, a big kick in the heart once I found! I'm also hoping that my asperger's and anxiety disorder doesn't get in the way of this issue. I am taking antidepressants and have received professional help from the mental health team in my area until a biking accident put my agenda on hold for a while. Still, I struggle. Why do some people have it so easy in finding their lovers while people like me are unfortunate? I WANT A GIRLFRIEND! NOW!

dude its hard, that's a known fact. but you know what there is a reason that we might never understand why you haven't been in a relationship in a while. love comes to everyone at their own speed. sometimes we cant handle a relationship for one reason or another, and yes this is disappointing; especially when we see around ourselves and everyone seems to be w/a partner.

Some women do approach men, it isn't as common. Women like to be chased, romanced etc. You do need to take the initiative if that is what you want.

I will agree with juanis....good things come to those that wait.
However, if you really want to date someone, do as ''justaguy'' said and go to a dating site.
POF (plenty of fish) is a free one just to try out. Don't have to go full force. Trust me, put a few pics of yourself there and you will be contacted by women or...after looking at pics and reading profiles, you can contact a woman. Hell, she wont know who you really are.
My thought, is go for an older woman in her late 30's or very early 40's. There are some hot ones out there and may teach you a thing or two about love.
It could just be fun.....OR.....you could find the love of your life.
