Hi,
I am sitting here wondering why I am single and have never been asked out at age 27. I have been pretty content with my single life, until 2 years ago when I met someone I really love. We talk often, almost daily, but he doesn't seem all that interested. I don't know what he means when he says he likes me on many different levels. A while back, he had said he liked me a lot, so I got excited and brought up what he thought of us in a relationship and he said not to entertain anything and that he was too busy. Turns out being too busy meant that he was in love with someone else. That hurt a lot/still hurts a lot sometimes. For some reason, guys don't ask me out. All they want is friendship with me. I use to be confident, but that confidence has faded and it has made me depressed. My family seems to be wrapped up in the idea that I should find someone. That makes me feel like I am not good enough to be single. I want to feel confident again being single, because that seems to be the only way I have been going in life. If that's what I've got to live with, then why not be confident with it? Well, because I feel very lonely now. I pray to God often, I just want peace.

Ask someone out. This isn't the dark ages. You're an adult and more than capable of taking control of your problems. If you don't want to be alone any more do something about it.
