Q: Signs of ovulation and ectopic pregnancies
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 17th, 2009
I've been experiencing stomach cramps, excessive egg-like clear vaginal discharge and bloating for about a week now. I've been trying to conceive for a few cycles. I took a HPT this morning and i got a disappointing negative result. My regular doctor's office is currently closed so i can't confirm my suspicions but could i be pregnant?

With a history of stomach cramps, excessive egg-like clear vaginal discharge, and bloating, what is important to exclude if you missed your period is an ectopic pregnancy. However, you had your last cycle on the first of September so it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Also, the pregnancy test is negative.

The other most likely reason is ovulation. What you have ‘stomach cramps, excessive egg-like clear vaginal discharge, and bloating’ are signs of ovulation. Hence, if you try now you may conceive.

Please consult your doctor regarding this as a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given over the internet. Mean while, try to have intercourse 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days.
Hope this helps. Take care!
