Current medical status: I have been confirmed pregnancy on 13/1/08. The scan taken on the same day for first time says the following ( 1.GA - 6 5, 2. regular small IVG's) irregular cycle. I had little bleeding on 22/01/09. Doctor took an internal scan and said that she was not able to hear the heart beat of the baby even at week 8. she has given me another tablet along with folvite to contiue till my next scan recommeded date 30/1/09.

The bleeding during pregnancy is always dangerous for the mother and/or for the baby. It might be a sign of an undergoing miscarriage. However, if the bleeding does not leave any consequences, the pregnancy might be classified as risky, but turn out completely well in the end. The fact that the doctor did not hear the baby’s heart might mean that the heart has stopped and a miscarriage has occurred. But it can also mean that the doctor just was not able to hear the baby’s heart. So he might hear it the next time you visit him for a check up. If the bleeding does not increase in the following days (sign of end phase of the miscarriage), then it was probably a false alert.
