Hello once again. I am still on the waiting list to see if i am going to have a period this month. My last period was October 28, 2010. On the date of December 27, 2010, i had a very short episode of bleeding that started like a regular period but it suddenly stopped the same night ending with brownish spotting. Could this be a sign of pregnancy or the onset of early menapause?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
The spotting that you had could be due to pregnancy, infection or early menopause. The blood in urine could have been due to the spotting itself (if no bacteria or pus cells were observed in the urine sample). Urine pregnancy tests cannot be relied for accuracy as they can show false negative results. Look out for other symptoms suggestive of pregnancy and go ahead with requesting your gynecologist for a blood HCG test and ultrasound scan to confirm/rule out pregnancy.
Take care.
