Birth Control Answer A7310
Given the data you reported (inserted Mirena IUD 5 months ago, headaches, nausea, feeling in the stomach like pregnant), you might be experiencing side-effects from the Mirena IUD.

Mirena (generic name: ) is a birth control prouct that contains hormones that affect the production of the female sex hormones. The ovulation does not occur consequently and the mucous of the cervix of the vagina changes its consistency in order to decrease the chances for the spermatozoids to pass.

You might want to visit your gynecologist for a physical examination and laboratory hormonal tests to discuss your symptoms and possible alternative birth control products.
