I have been using Ortho Evra for about 4 years now. I was previously on birth control pills but was experiencing break through bleeding all the time. I have been researching possible side effects of using the patch and I am finding that I am experiencing the following symptoms: thinning hair, mood swings, weight gain, depression. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this before as I feel it has greatly impacted my quality of life. I am in Canada, and I understand that the US version contains slightly higher concentration of estrogen than the Canadian version. Is this true? I would like to know what I should/should not be doing about these possible side effects. I am thinking of going off birth control entirely.
