Q: Side Effects of Stopping Yaz

I was on Yaz for about 5 months and I stopped taking it about a month ago because I was unusually moody and becoming very distant and depressed. Its been over a month since I stopped taking it and I still haven't gotten my period. I had my period every month while I was on the pill. Is it normal to stop having your periods for a while when you stop taking birth control? I also do realize the potential that I might be pregnant, but I am having no side effects of pregnancy whatsoever.

Yes, this is normal. Your body needs to readjust to being off the hormones. You're lucky. You could have the opposite problem- constant bleeding. When I went off the pill I had a period for two months nonstop before my cycle got back to normal!
