I have in the last year been thru some bad stuff, I don't do drugs or drink or even smoke, I went to the hospital because my heart rate was up and Blood pressure, I have an overactive thyroid, when i go there i told them , what i had, they freaked out because my rate was 220 and blood pressure was 200. i am 48 yrs old. They ended up giving me to much to lower my BP that my organs shut down and BP dropped enough for me to I guess actually die for about 30 seconds or so. every since all this happened I have had nothing but problems with my back, can't sleep. my arms go numb on both sides from elbow to around hand, I can only sleep on my back sitting up. I have a lump like area the size or so of a fist on the right side of my stomach just a little right and slightly above my belly button. I forgot to mention this all happened in 11/2008 I weighed 118 it is now August 7, 2009, and I weigh 155. I have never weighed this much. I am really worried now, I haVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON WITH MY BODY NOW. i have regualr monthly's, no cramps, but here in the last month or so, i have lost my drive for that, my bowel movements are not daily anymore and I feel sometimes like I do not urinate enough What is happening? please help

Did they find out what happened to make your heart rate and BP go so high?

Is your thyroid well controlled with medication? Have you had a recent test for it? Was it normal? Even though your symptoms are rather extreme for an over or underactive thyroid, it is possible that could be at least contributing to your symptoms. It can cause the numbness, weight changes, aches and pains, sleep problems, and changes in bowel movements. If you haven't had a TSH test very recently, go in and get one, just to make sure.

Have you had a doctor look at the lump on your stomach? Did they say what they thought it was? Did they do any tests on it, like an ultrasound or needle biopsy?

Are you on any medication for any of this or anything else?
