Well, just when I think Chandler is getting better, he seems to have some sort of relapse. He is miserable. Slept most of the day yesterday. Up at 6:45 and was back in bed by 8 and he never got up till 11:15, then in the afternoon slept another 1.5 hrs. Today he is on his 3rd nap .We were playing and then all of a sudden he got extremely fussy and wanted mommy so I picked him up and since it was time for a bottle tried to feed him and he just kept pushing it away. So I figured he was tired and he tossed and turned in bed, crying so I went in and got him and he tossed and turned on me and finally settled in and fell asleep. He just looks so sick. They keep telling me its nothing at the doctors other than a cold, but I think he is getting headaches. I gave him Tylenol which does not make him sleepy and he finally settled and went to sleep. His nose is running constantly, and his cough is brutal. It wakes him up when he is sleeping. Now I am sick and my hubby is working, but all I want to do is sleep. I feel so useless because there is nothing I can do for my baby, and its so hard when they cannot tell us whats wrong. He is on antibiotics as well but I do not think that they are doing anything now. Within a few days after starting them, his fever was gone, but he still feels no better. I think he is worse.

Sorry for babbling, but I am tired and at my wits end.

ANy suggestions for the sinus congestion and chest congestion (cough)

It does sound like you needed to vent and need a break! He probably does just have a cold...sometimes they hang on FOREVER and it seems like it will just never never end. At least his fever is gone. You can always keep a humidifier or cool mist vaporizer in his room. The vapor plug ins sometimes help too...I think they make sleeping better and easier too. Watch out for that chest congestion though....

Don't worry, soon it will be nice and warm and you'll get a long break before the cold weather starts again. Razz

Thanks. Its so hard when your feeling awful and they are too. He seems a bit better after his LONG overdue nap. He slept for another 2.5 hrs this afternoon. So thats a good thing .We have a humidifier in his room, but I do not think that it is working. I will likely have to return it.

Off to have some leftover lasagna. ( I am happy that I made that the other day and have leftovers!)

We are on the MEND!!! Chandler was a happy boy this morning. Still has a bit of a runny nose and cough, but he was happy and playful. Was up a good solid 3 hrs and now he is sleeping again. I have allergies. There is no way that this is a cold. It doesn't act like one. I am thankful for allergies meds.

Must run, need a shower while my darling sleeps.

Take care everyone.

Oh that's great!! Yup, sleep is the best medicine....but it's still scary when they sleep for hours. I always start to get worried about them when they sleep for that long because I think I just couldn't be blessed to get that long of a break and something is wrong with them. I guess I'm just a pro-worrier Razz

Blessings to the little guy Smile

Thanks. I am the same. Yesterday I kept checking on him but as soon as I would open his door, I would hear him breathing or move from the noise of the door. So I would just close it so that I did not wake him as he needs the sleep while sick.

I think that every mom is a pro-worrier.

Take care Smile

pat his back alot if hes congested because it will loosen up the mucus.. and pat it pretty hard..
shawns mom had to do this when his sister was ababy because she had phnomia (sp?) its a good way to get the mucus going though, even if your baby doesnt have phnomia
