I have been sick for about 4 days now it started with a sore throat and progressed into a really bad head cold as well as coughing up a thick brown phlegm. I feel week when up to long and get really sweaty.

From the history, it seems that you might be having sinusitis, infection of the paranasal sinuses of the nose.

You might benefit by consulting with a doctor for a examination, treatment with antibiotics for a few days, which might help in early recovery.
