Hello, I am a 21 year old female. All my life it seems I've always had heath issues of some kind. I've always had allergies (hay fever, pets, some foods, nickel, and some other random things) and I am very prone to rashes. I get a lot of sinus infections and as soon as that goes away a double ear infection always seems to follow. I have been diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis which causes scar tissue to form in my esophagus and it makes it hard for me to swallow. I was also diagnosed with depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and ADHD, but in the past couple of months I've been thinking maybe that was a misdiagnosis. For the past two and a half years I've been on a rollercoaster of anti-depressants and nothing seemed to help. About 7 months ago I got the ADHD diagnosis and I started taking adderall xr. That made a big difference with being so tired all the time but the longer I'm on it, the less it seems to work. But anyway, in the past couple of years I have steadily started feeling awful all the time. This past year or so I haven't gone a day without being in some kind of pain. I'm only 21 and I feel like I'm 80! I'm a mess and I just want to get fixed so I can live like a normal 21 year old, where's Dr. House when you need him haha.

My daily symptoms are: muscle weakness, joint pain, depression, severe anxiety, short term memory loss, general brain fogginess, constant feeling of being tired (I can easily sleep 14+ hours straight if my schedule allows it), dry skin (although the skin on my face is very oily), bad acne (including blackheads, whiteheads, and cysts), excess hair growth (I've mostly noticed it on my chin and upper lip, they are very dark thick hairs that I have to tweeze usually once a day), multiple hairs growing out of one follicle (which seems to be like Pili multigemini), heartburn almost every time I eat or drink anything, indigestion, constipation (I go #2 maybe once every 3 days), daily headaches, constant ringing in the ears (my ears have been doing this for as long as I can remember, maybe from having so many sinus issues in the past, having to blow my nose so much?), heavy bleeding and severe cramps during my period (I've been on the pill for 6 years though so that went away), and the usual allergy/sinus issues. Also, for the past few months it seems my immune system has been kicked down. If I get any kind of cut, like if i cut myself shaving, it gets infected.

A lot of the symptoms sound like Hashimoto's disease, but I'm not totally sure and it doesn't explain where everything else is coming from. I've been tested for hypothyroidism at least twice and the doc always says its normal. I'm so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired! Please help me!!!

Fibromyalgia: all the symptoms you describe point to this.
This sounds a great deal like what I had. Tired, aches, pains, foggy, memory issues, and all sorts of blood tests. Turns out I am an extremely healthy person, despite being overweight.

My final answer was: Fibromyalgia. A nervous system disorder characterized by basically all of the above. I am on a beta blocker, 10mg once a day to stop the headaches, and cymbalta, 60mg/day, to help with the aches. Though I still have to sleep a good 10 hours a night, my pain has decreased 10-fold.

Look into it. Some people do not think it is a real disease, but I assure you, it is most real. Just because it doesn't show up on an x-ray doesn't mean it isn't real.
