After waiting almost three long years my husbands urologist told us we could start IVF. After getting through all the my husbands treatments, his biopsy and the first phase of the IVF cycle we finally had our phase 2 appt yesterday. This would be the appt where the IVF nurse shows me how to use all the many medications and injectables and gives me a firm IVF calendar to follow for the next 4 weeks before egg retrieval. The nurse tols me they needed to first do a sonogram to make sure everything was clear. Well much to my surprise and huge disappointment the nurse found a cyst on my left ovary that's 25 cm in diameter. She told me that I can not proceed until the cyst shrinks. I have been taking the prescribed birth control pill Loestrin since July 1, 09 per doctors orders so that they could control my cycle through the IVF procedure. She told me to keep taking the Loestrin and hope that it shrinks. I was so disappointed that I just burst into tears when I got to my car in the parking lot and I missed the bridal shower that I was supposed to go to because I was just so upset.

Is there anyone out there who knows any natural treatments to shrink a benign cyst?? I am desperate to shrink this thing. I can't have surgery or else I cannot do IVF anyway. I need help please! I'm desperate
