Hi, for the last 2 months I have been having pains. I would say they are really mild pains, but annoying. The pain is sometimes in my sholders, chest area, and sometimes even my spine.

I worry about the pain alot and always try and diagnos myself on the internet. I think I might have anxiety, mabey panic disorder? When I smoked weed I started having bad highs and it made me feel dissy and I have "crazy" thoughts uncontrollably, but it wore off in like 3 hours. This happend like 10 times over 9 months also I have totally quit smoking weed for 2 months... and these pains started.

Also I wouldn't really say I am very stressed, just when I get the pains it stresses and worries me out because of the pain. When I get drunk the pain goes away for like 4-5 days.

So whats wromg with me??

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum

Unexplained pains, sometimes the bones paining and sometimes the muscles can be due to a problem called ‘fibromyalgia’. This is associated with fatigue and “a heightened and painful response to gentle touch (allodynia). Other symptoms include needle-like tingling of the skin, nerve pain, muscle aches and spasms, weakness in the limbs, functional bowel disturbances, and chronic sleep disturbances.

The cause of fibromyalgia is often hereditary or due to a physical or emotional trauma or due to lingering infection in the body such as due to mono. The treatment is a mix and match of analgesics, anti depressants, anti seizure medications, physical therapy and counseling.

The other possibility is Vit D deficiency. In weed smokers and those taking alcohol regularly, Vit B12 deficiency too can cause these symptoms.

It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. A confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net. Please discuss this with your PCP. Hope this helps. Take care!
