I'm very worried about what this could be. I have a lot of things going on right now, I will try to summarize as briefly as possible:

I am 30 y/o white male. Have had occasional bad constipation throughout my life.

- Over the last several months, I have been feeling increasingly bloated. About a month ago, my stools started getting very short or narrow, and my bowel movements were very limited and always felt incomplete.
I went to see my doctor, and he gave me fibre supplements which have got my stools and movements back to normal, but the feelings of bloating, stomach pains, and incomplete defication all remain.
I am also experiencing nausea, which I have had occasionally for a while, but becoming much more frequent now. Same with lethargy.

Other things to consider: I have had bouts with anxiety and compulsive worrying in the past, and when I start becoming concerned, things usually become worse. For example, about a year and a half ago, I felt absolutely terrible, experincing everything from chest pains to rapid heartbeat to dizziness. After a number of tests came back negative, I started to feel better.
I get lots of fiber in my diet, although I tend to binge eat sometimes.
I have never seen blood in my stool and I don't think I've had mucus either, although I'm not sure what it would look like. My stools do seem to be lighter in color right now.

It is difficult to make diagnosis upon symptoms you have, since the colon cancer has non-specific symptoms that can be produced due to other conditions and diseases.
What is more concerning symptom is the lethargy you feel, but, still, fatigue can be an accompanying symptom of irritable bowel syndrome.
IBS can be manifested as a constipation- predominant form, with abdominal cramps, feeling of incomplete evacuation and excessive abdominal bloating.
Nausea is possible, but, not common symptom of IBS.
Sense of fullness, smelling strange odors, are symptoms that can distinguish colon cancer from other resembling conditions.

Visit your physician for a laboratory tests and imaging techniques!

Thank you for responding.
Just to provide an update, my doctor is having me take citro-mag as a laxative to clear things up. I took half a bottle last night, and it's affects were minimal.

My nausea is getting worse and more frequent and I'm experiencing a bit of dizziness as well.

My doctor isn't too concerned, he seems to feel this is attributle to my anxiety and compulsiveness.

I however, am quite worried, and now I'm a bit perplexed because the citro-mag didn't work.

Wondering if you resolved your symptoms. I have the exact problems that you do, including the anxiety. I am the same age. I was actually hospitalized for three days for the issue, and they ran a number of tests, all coming back negative. No colonoscopy, doctor felt that it was more of a risk than the actual risk of a young person like ourselves having this type of cancer. Just curious how/if you resolved your situation.
