Should I be cautious?

My partner dissapeared for 2 nights, without any warning, when he returned he was admitted to hospital for 2 weeks. This was the first time I had experienced this. When he came out of hospital he said he needed a break which broke my heart. A few months later he wanted to get back together, I still loved him. It has now been 6 months and everything has been fine, he is not on medication as he said he doesn't need them. He seems to be fine but am I just waiting for soemthing to happen or after 6 months on no meds would you have noticed something by now. Can you forget what has happened and trust again?

Would you ever trust any man who had left for two nights, reappeared then said I need a break?
Are you allowing his being bipolar to be an excuse for this behavior?
Can you really love someone you do not completely trust?
Do you want to spend your life "waiting for something to happen"?
