I have been having shortness of breath for a about 6months now. I smoked crack for about a year and a half, but now I'm in recovery for over a year. In treatment, they put me on 100mg of Zoloft and 150mg of Wellbutrin..... could this be the reason for my shortness of breath? It feels like I can't fill my lungs all the way up most of the time, I went to get a Pulminary Lung Function test and I was right in the borderline of normal so I couldn't get an inhaler or anything. This really gets on my nerves, it feels like I need to yawn all the time. Mad

First off, well done in your recovery. One year of recovery is a great start to a lifetime without the need for drugs and alcohol.

My yoga teacher once had a theory that we yawn because we need more oxygen because we're breathing shallow breaths. Try some deep breathing once a day --- this is actually a good start toward meditation. The key is to teach yourself how to breathe deeply and re-program your body to do this more often.
