Shortness of breath & SLE

Hi, i am 19 years old & have been diagnosed with SLE now since December 2008. Recently I have noticed that I feel as though I am finding it difficult to feel as though I have taken a full breath in, the only way I can describe is it is that I don''t feel that my lungs are filling with enough air. I am not sure whether this could have anything to do with the SLE, but I have also been getting headaches at times which I know can be common with the illness.
I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this or knew anything about it. I may go see the doctor soon or wait for the upcoming appointment with my consultant, I am just keen to know whether I should be worried about whether it is to do with the condition.
