List of other diseases, conditions, or injuries and their treatment: heart bypass 6years ago

Shortness of breath is most often related to heart or lung conditions. Heart problems include heart failure. The heart muscles weaken due to prolonged damage. The damage is caused by an overworked heart muscle accompanied by insufficient blood flow. The blood flow can be decreased because of many reasons, one of them being advanced stage of atherosclerosis.

Lung problems include chronic acute or chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract, thus causing swelling of the mucosa and further decreasing of the air flow.

Both conditions have to be diagnosed or excluded by a specialist for internal diseases (cardiologist and pulmonologist). Having in mind your previous heart related problems, a heart failure is a more probable diagnosis.
